New sea kayak fittings

We've just upgraded the fittings on all our sea kayak models, so new boats will be even better value for money and even nicer  to paddle.

Check out the main advances below, all of which are displayed on a special custom Inuk made for Sea Kayaking Cornwall. It features a raised bow deck for improved buoyancy when carrying heavier loads

A light-weight adjustable backrest now comes as standard to help support your lower back for extra comfort while paddling. In true Kirton form, we've been generous with the materials this kit boasts top-quality stainless deck fittings and rugged plastic buckles and toggles.

Deck balls

Slip your paddles and other accessories under the deck elastics with ease, using to our deck balls. We've put plenty on the deck so even the elastics at the extremes of the boats are now much more accessible.

Pretty, slick and tough. We've upgraded our basic rugged rudder system to the KS Navigator. A single uphaul/downhaul line located behind the cockpit, draws the rudder up and then onto the deck, smoothly and effortlessly.

Elasticated toggles

Bow and stern carrying toggles are clipped to the deck with elastic, so they stay in place, are easy to grab in a hurry, and are clear of the water.

Line adjusters

Adjusting the tension on your rudder rope, can now be done easily from inside the cockpit using the inline adjusters. Using a combinations of spindle wraps, and changing the hole positions at the top, a fine level of adjustment can be achieved. Each can absorb a huge 31cm of line and there are no moving parts, reducing the risk of jams.

Refined butterfly footrest

Our standard steering system just got better. The top pivoting part of the assembly now has a a strip of textured non-slip tape so you have better feel and and grip.
